Christopher J. Bing is an investigative reporter with Reuters in Washington, D.C., where he covers nation state hacking and the impact of cyberattacks on national affairs. He previously worked for Scoop News  Group and the American City Business Journals.  

Bing’s work focuses on the intersection between cybersecurity, national security, disinformation, and corporate malfeasance. 

He has written extensively about the Homeland Security Department, White House, National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command. He has also reported on numerous foreign cyber espionage  campaigns, from the United Arab Emirates to Vietnam, Russia, Iran, Turkey and China. 

He is the winner of the Gerald R. Ford Foundation award for national security reporting, 2019 Deadline Club award, Reuters Enterprise Reporter of the Year award, The Drum Award for investigative reporting, and Edwin M. Hood award for diplomatic correspondence.
